Accounts Assistant

Optimill is a fast moving engineering company based in Kelbrook with our own product line and online retail shop. We are actively seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. We are ready to immediately welcome someone who can meet these demands and actively contribute as part of the team. In return, we offer a 35-hour working week, Monday to Thursday: 8.30am - 4.30pm and Friday: 8.30am-1.30pm, a staff pension and a competitive salary that reflects your skills and experience.
**Responsibilities**:
- Data entry on excel spreadsheets
- Data input on computerised accounts package is essential - preferably Quickbooks online
- Prepare profit and loss reports
- Preparation of management accounts
- Create general reports
- Invoicing and supplier payments
- Preparation of wages for payroll submission
- Preparation of VAT reports
- Work within multiple bank feeds
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of AAT3 standard or above
Key Skills:
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Analytical thinker and problem solver
- Competent IT skills, particularly proficiency with spreadsheet software
- High level of accuracy
- Well organised
- Trustworthy and discreet when dealing with confidential information
- Administrative skills
- Be reliable, hardworking and conscientious
- A good telephone manner
