Description

Our client is an independent builders merchants offering a friendly, helpful and professional advice. You will be joining a team of highly experienced people as a Sales Assistant (to also carry out occasional yard operative cover).

**Your duties will include:

- **
- Booking goods to accounts along with cash sale transactions
- Processing cash, debit/credit card, chq transactions accurately
- Raising sales orders / delivery notes
- Ensuring end of day practices are completed

**Key Skills we are looking for: -**
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong sales skills are essential
- Be able to demonstrate competent computer literacy (MS Excel, Outlook, ERP)
- Maintain a clean/organised point of sale area
- Be reliable, motivated and work well within a team
- Forklift licence (would be an advantage)
- Knowledge of the building trade would be useful but not essential

Hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5.00pm, alternate Saturdays 9.00am to 12noon

**Salary**: From £21,000 per annum
