**Job description**:
Transport Decarbonisation (TD) Directorate leads the Department’s work to deliver the Transport Decarbonisation Plan - driving down carbon emissions from transport as quickly as possible on the path to net zero, whilst driving growth that creates new jobs and investments across the UK.

We co-ordinate and drive decarbonisation across all transport, holding other modal teams to account, and liaising with the centre of Government. At the same time, we are working to ensure the transition to zero emission transport unlocks significant co-benefits for the UK, including new green jobs and inward investment in green technologies.

This role sits within the TD Directorates Portfolio Management Office. This critical function oversees the Directorate’s performance against delivery of its policy objectives and acts as the source of all project information and metrics across multiple divisions. You will be joining a highly motivated, friendly, and enthusiastic team working in an area that is a key priority for the Government, with growing public interest and high expectations.

**_ Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: _**
- Helping to maintain the governance arrangements that are in place to support the delivery of programmes.
- Helping to identify the most significant TD programme risks through working with policy teams across the directorate, acting as a business partner where required.
- Supporting the management of the portfolio of programmes across TD Directorate and Reducing Environmental Impacts REI, including those delivering key Ministerial priorities.

**Additional information**

A minimum of 40% of your working time should be spent at your principal workplace, although requirements to attend other locations for official business, or carry out detached duty in another DfT workplace, will also count towards this level of attendance.
