Our client is a highly successful and expanding Wealth Management firm, widely recognised with an excellent reputation based in London.
**The Role**
This is an exciting opportunity to progress towards a Portfolio Manager longer term.
The Assistant Portfolio Manager role will provide investment and IFA client support, managing bespoke Model Portfolios (portfolio construction and asset allocation).The role will involve trading on Platforms and generating investment ideas by conductinginvestment analysis and investment research.The Assistant Portfolio Manager will have regular contact with the IFA client base, dealing with their enquiries and attend and taking minutes at Fund manager meetings and Investment Committee.
The role requires a technical individual who is passionate about investments so that they can critique investment portfolios and supply fund research.
The Assistant Portfolio Manager will provide investment analytics for the team, including performance andrisk analysis and monitor portfolio content and performance for Investment Managers.
The Assistant Portfolio Manager will give support and assist IFA’s by producing investment management reports and presentations whilst attending IFA meetings with Portfolio Managers.
The Assistant Portfolio Manager will send IFA’s regular Investment performance updates and deal with IFA queries relating to literature and platform queries.
The Assistant Portfolio Manager will assist with portfolio sustainability analysis using internal tools.
The Assistant Portfolio Manager will work with team to improve the ESG/sustainability performance of portfolios and help construct sustainable portfolios for clients.
+ 2 years previous experience in Front Office Investment Management environment, ideally within Wealth Management.
Must hold Level 4 CISI Investment Advice Diploma and looking to progress through to level 6/7 OR have IMC + CFA 1 and looking to complete CFA.
A strong interest in financial markets and Investments - outside reading.
A numerate and relevant degree (Economics, Finance etc )
Takes initiative with own work.
Strong Excel experience would be highly beneficial.
