We promote problem-solving interdisciplinary research on particular themes where we have outstanding scholarship and critical mass, e.g. gender, families, work, inequalities, migration, bio-social interactions.

**About the role**:
The project takes place in the context of the forthcoming 30th anniversary of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi. The overall aim is the creation of new tools, materials, and approaches to promote and facilitate intergenerational dialogue through the arts on family stories to improve well-being among children and families and enhance the capacity of professionals working with children and families in using creative and arts-based approaches. The project will include the creation of an interactive public exhibition that will travel to different communities across Rwanda.

The postholder will be based at UCL and will facilitate knowledge exchange activities, including project communications, website design and delivery, assist with the creation of project outputs both creative and academic, and provide additional support to the team in Rwanda, where required, with a focus on stakeholder engagement.

This is a fixed term, part-time post (1 day per week) starting from 19th February until 31st December 2024. Requests for flexible working arrangements (e.g. doing two half days) and remote working are welcomed and will be agreed with the project lead.

**About you**:
You will have a Master’s degree in the social sciences (e.g. sociology, anthropology, psychology) and experience of research communications or knowledge transfer activities, ideally within higher education.

You will also have experience of the design and delivery of creative projects for public engagement, e.g. filmmaking, art exhibitions along with experience of project coordination, e.g. team meetings, external events and reporting to funders.
