The North London Hospice (NLH) has 17 stores dotted around Barnet, Enfield and Haringey.

The Retail team are responsible for the management, maintenance and replenishment of all these stores which raises over £1.3 million annually

The Retail team support the recycling of pre-loved items while playing a pivotal role in providing income generation to deliver the North London Hospice mission.

Not only does this help the Hospice we are also helping the plant because we like to recycle your unwanted clothing, furniture and household items

When we receive donations, or our customers buy these donated goods, this provides an income to support end of life patient care and also helps toreduce the amount that goes into landfill.

Job Overview

As theLogistics Team Lead you will manage the day to day logístical operations of our Hospice Retail Service.

TheLogistics Team Lead will be tasked to ensure that they maximise donation collections to ensure their timely distribution to all our retail stores.

TheLogistics Team Leadwill therefore need to co-ordinate the collections and re-distribution of stock amongst our team of 3 Drivers as well as undertaking driving duties.

TheLogistic Team Lead will support our High Barnet Flagship store, Area and Shop Managers in the generation of income as well as ensuring that all staff and volunteers are managed in line with our Core Values.

The core trading hours of business are;
Monday to Saturday from 9AM to 5.30PM

Sunday hours are 10.45AM to 4.45PM (yet you are paid for working 7.5 hours on that day).

You will need to have a full clean UK driving licence for two or more years.

This role is very hands on and involves heavy lifting of furniture etc, often up and down stairs. TheLogistics Team Leadwill be expected to accompany drivers on collections and deliveries as well as solo collections.

From our nursing, medical and clinical staff, patient and family support and health and wellbeing teams, cleaners & caterers to communications, finance, HR, retail and fundraising support - we all work to ensure exceptional care.

As well as our Inpatient Unit (Head Office, Finchley) we work within the wider community including our

Outpatient and Wellbeing services;
Support to patients in their own homes;
Community Specialist Palliative Care services; and

Patient and Family Support teams, providing emotional and practical support to patients, their families and carers.
