As the Adult Mental Health Team Manager, you will lead a dynamic and passionate multi-disciplinary team dedicated to providing intensive support interventions for adults aged 25 and above. You will oversee the delivery of accessible, safe, and effective services, ensuring that service user needs are met and that our team operates within available resources. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals experiencing mental health difficulties.

This post is working an average of 36.25 hours per week Monday to Friday.

What you will be doing:
  • Managing and supporting Adult Mental Health team, ensuring effective service delivery across virtual, building-based, and outreach support.
  • Conducting initial assessments and tailor support packages to individual service user needs.
  • Providing 1:1 support to clients, manage waiting lists, and prioritize referrals.
  • Overseeing team casework, ensuring timely assessments and client-centred approaches.
  • Fostering communication and collaboration within the team and with external partners.
  • Contributing to core service development through active participation in meetings.
  • Leading by example, promoting positive attitudes and collaboration.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with external partners.
  • Supporting staff wellbeing in collaboration with HR and clinical supervisors.
  • Contributing to budget planning and ensure appropriate staffing.
  • Involving service users in their support plans and service development.
  • Maintaining records, policies, and participating in quality assurance.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports for stakeholders, including funding applications.
What you will need:
  • Health and social care qualification or 5+ years' relevant experience (Essential)
  • Experience in multi-skilled teams with mental health issues (Essential)
  • Partnership working experience (Essential)
  • Expertise in needs assessments, goal planning, and review (Essential)
  • Staff management experience in social care (Essential)
  • Understanding of relevant legislation (Essential)
  • Knowledge of Recovery principles (Essential)
  • Familiarity with social care resources (Essential)
  • Ability to create culturally sensitive approaches (Essential)
  • Strong assessment and communication skills (Essential)
  • Effective leadership abilities (Essential)
  • Good organizational and time management skills (Essential)

  • Personal experience of using mental health services and/or mental health problems, distress or trauma
