A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated **Host/ess (Casual basis) **to join the **Collins Room **team at The Berkeley.

With an independent spirit and an eye for style, The Berkeley is the epitome of modern British luxury. Rooms are furnished by leading designers, and London’s original fashionista afternoon tea ‘Prêt-à-Portea’ is served daily in the Collins Room. The Berkeley is perfectly positioned between Hyde Park, fashionable Knightsbridge, and the residential neighbourhood of Belgravia. Its signature experiences include the famed Blue Bar, The Berkeley Bar & Terrace, Michelin-starred dining in ‘Marcus’ by Marcus Wareing and our Bamford Health Club & Spa.

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:
As a **Host/ess** you will ensure internal and external customers are equally looked after and treated respectfully and patiently in an organised and efficient manner. You will be providing a warm welcome and excellent first contact with the client approaching the restaurant including assessing his needs, meeting the operational standards and evaluating the customer satisfaction.

**Main responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to**:

- To welcome each guest in a warm and friendly manner and provide them with a memorable dining experience at The Berkeley.
- To assign the guest to a suitable table for their needs, providing them with the menu.
- To establish the guest room number/ name and pass the information on to the waiter and to inform the waiter regarding the guests special requests.
- Contribute in maintaining an excellent level of service in conjunction with the minimum requirement of the LQA standards at all times.
