The Oakdale Group provides a wide range of specialist assessments, including for autism, ADHD, and developmental trauma. Oakdale also provides a wide range of psychological therapies for children, young people, and adults. Many of our services are commissioned by the NHS, Local Authorities, and schools, and include services for NHS staff. Others are accessed by members of the public who pay for them privately, through medical insurance, or through our charitable arm.
**The role**
The Governance Administrator will be responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of governance frameworks, policies, and procedures within Oakdale. This role will involve working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Additionally, this position offers the opportunity for career growth and development, including training and support to transition into a Data Protection Officer role in the future.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist the current Governance lead in the development, implementation, and maintenance of governance frameworks, policies, and procedures related to data protection, privacy, and compliance.
- Support the monitoring and enforcement of governance policies and procedures, including conducting regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to governance activities, including policy documents, procedures, and compliance reports.
- Provide administrative support for governance-related meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and minute-taking.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address governance-related issues and gaps.
- Assist in the preparation of training materials and sessions to educate employees on governance policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in regulations and standards related to data protection and privacy, and assist in assessing the impact on Oakdale.
- Work closely with the Data Protection Officer and other stakeholders to support data protection initiatives and projects.
- Take initiative in identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the governance function.
**About You**
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Understanding of data protection and privacy principles is preferred.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in data protection and privacy.
- Proficiency in Google Suite ( Desirable)
- Prior experience in a governance or compliance, role is Preferred
