**BASIC SALARY**: £55,000 - £75,000

**LOCATION**: Hybrid working - between office (Midlands region), home and travel, so location is less important than skill set, but relocation may be an option.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**: Product Manager, Product Specialist, Technical Specialist, R&D Engineer, R&D Specialist - Mission Systems, IT Networks, Communications, Air Traffic Management, Aviation or Defence

We are truly a global leader and a division of a corporate giant. To strengthen our global sales and marketing initiatives we are seeking a 'blue sky' Product Portfolio Manager / Product Specialist to support and shape our future sales activities on a globalbasis.

In this senior Product Manager role you will support the business development team and our global clients on developing and challenging future needs. We ask you to think outside the box, challenge the status quo and build a strategy to develop new productsand new markets for numerous sectors including Civil Aviation, NATO, MOD, International Military, Governments and Commercial markets.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**: Product Manager, Product Specialist, Technical Specialist, R&D Engineer, R&D Specialist - Mission Systems, IT Networks, Communications, Air Traffic Management, Aviation or Defence
- Working with internal and external resources to develop an accurate assessment of the market and competitors in order to support decision-making and derive market growth strategies.
- Develop the technology roadmap; a succinct and easily presentable representation of planned new features and capability releases over 3-5 years.
- Be responsible for the definition and scope of product portfolio, which will contain the complete market offering of hi-tech communication equipment and ancillary products and services.
- Assist with the creation and development of a strategic marketing plan that positions us and aligned to key opportunities; support the development of value proposition material (website / social media content, brochures / datasheets, press releases, presentations).
- Be the technical approval for all marketing communications.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**: Product Manager, Product Specialist, Technical Specialist, R&D Engineer, R&D Specialist - Mission Systems, IT Networks, Communications, Air Traffic Management, Aviation or Defence
- During your career you will have gained experience in R&D, technical engineering, business development, product management or sales
- Experience working with commissioning and conducting analysis of market research and proficiency in aligning the right research approach and methodology with project requirements
- Ideally, experience in the broad knowledge and understanding of communications equipment and or IT systems in the civil and defence environment, ideally with a focus on system design or development
- Possess the necessary credibility to present influentially to senior management and multiple stakeholders within customer organisations
- Instinctive ability to decipher large amount of data and requests and distil into clear strategies and communications
