Safer Streets Project Co-ordinator

**Job Summary**:
- To reduce the occurrence of crime.
- The post holder will lead on the successful implementation of the Home Office Safer Streets Project by providing comprehensive project oversight, ensuring it is delivered to agreed timescales and within budget, as set by Home Office (HO) and the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC).
- The post holder will work closely across the Safer Communities strands including Violence Against Women and Girls, Anti
- Social Behaviour and Licensing Night-time Economy, to ensure project delivery.**Key Duties/Accountabilities**:
- Prepare, co-ordinate and maintain project plans, reports, Home Office financial returns and documentation linked to the programme ensuring milestones are met and any risks captured and monitored.
- Support with the identification and mitigation of risks within the projects, ensuring that records are up to date and escalation routes are utilised promptly.
- Initiate and arrange meetings with key community groups and local business community organisations to ensure implementation, sustainability and ownership of prevention measures is always considered.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all relevant partners to ensure they are informed and supported in the implementation of key identified deliverables including a range of tangible products (i.e., signage, CCTV amongst others).
- Ensure that realistic project, quality, communication, and risk plans are prepared and maintained for projects and sub-projects.
**Essential Experience Required**:
- Experience of achieving objectives by advising, persuading, and working within multiple agency partnerships.
- Substantial experience of having effectively managed projects from initiation through to implementation, with a proven track record in delivery.
- Experience of identifying key problems and risks; identifying the best options to resolve and mitigate these issues in partnership with stakeholders.
- Sensitive to the needs of residents, specifically about victims and perpetrators of crime and anti-social behaviour.
