Head of Post Completions

The Head of Post Completion will oversee the post-completion department and ensuring the smooth and efficient registration. This role involves managing department managers, ensuring compliance with all legal & lender regulatory requirements, responsibility of offshore PC team and communications with the Land Registry.
**Duties will include but will not be limited to**:
- Overall responsibility of the entirety of the Post Completion Department (UK and Overseas)
- Lead, mentor, and manage the post-completion department to ensure high performance, professional development, and a collaborative working environment.
- Provide leadership and direction to three managers within the post-completion department, ensuring alignment with departmental and organisational goals.
- Oversee the entire post-completion process, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and promptly, including registration of property, handling of title deeds, and resolving any outstanding issues.
- Continuously evaluate and improve post-completion processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline operations.
- Ensure the effective management of our outsourcing processes, maintaining high standards and seamless integration with our in-house operations.
- Ensure all post-completion activities comply with legal requirements, regulatory standards, and company policies. Stay updated with changes in conveyancing laws, lender requirements and regulations.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the post-completion process. Conduct regular audits and reviews.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including lenders, local authorities, and other third parties involved in the conveyancing process.
- Manage all communications with the Land Registry.
- Prepare and present regular reports on post-completion activities, performance metrics, and key issues to senior management.
- Report on the UK and Support teams’ movement towards the targets we’ve set
- Address and resolve any issues or complications that arise during the post-completion process, ensuring mínimal disruption to clients and stakeholders.
- Champion Post Completion, it’s people and achievements to the wider business.
- Be a senior voice across the firm, supporting other colleagues with challenges and problem solving.
**Essential Skills**:
- Significant experience in post-completion processes within the conveyancing sector.
- Proven track record of managing and leading a team in a legal or conveyancing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of conveyancing procedures, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Proficient in using conveyancing software and other relevant IT systems
