While the job title is Finance Director, the role extends far beyond that, with a need to help mould the shape and style of the business as well as creating and managing the financial and operational structure. Joining the business at the outset will allow you to materially influence the future direction of the business, working closely with the Managing Director.

**THE BUSINESS**

With a strong track record over the past few decades, the company is a global leader in the devlopment of commercial real estate in over 20 countries.

The IM arm has recently been formed as a seperate business line, closely aligned, but seperate to the wider group.

The IM business will create and implement tailored European real estate strategies for a range of investors with different risk and return aspirations in the European market.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

The role is to provide ownership of the finance and operations functions for the IM business.

The role will be diverse and multi-faceted covering:
**Business**
- Drive the company’s financial strategy
- Oversee and implement all financial aspects of the business including reporting, cash flow and financial planning, budgeting, tax and structuring, debt, controls, audit and risk management
- Ownership of the company’s balance sheet and profit and loss account
- Supervise all accounting and finance personnel (internal and external)
- Work alongside the MD to grow the business, raising equity, devising new strategies and fund products and assisting with all aspects of business growth

**Fund Administration & finances**
- Work with advisors to develop, implement and manage appropriate fund structures based on legal and tax advice
- Develop and manage relationships with investors, and other stakeholders
- Manage debt strategies for investors and funds
- Take responsibility for relationships with lending banks, fund administrators, structuring lawyers, tax consultants etc
- Oversee all fund administration, financial reporting, property management accounting
- Oversee valuation appointments, oversight and reporting

**Asset level**
- Assist with debt and equity cashflow modelling at asset and portfolio level
- Oversee development financing
- Assist with all routine asset level reporting, including investment committee proposals, annual business plans and hold/sell analyses.

**EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**

**Currently a CFO/FD within the commercial real estate sector or possibly a Financial Controller who is ready to move into their first CFO role**
- Qualified accountant with a minimum of 10 years pqe
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
- European real estate practices
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
- An analytical capability with strategic vision
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal abilities
- Strong IT skills including use of Microsoft Office suite and property management accounting systems
- Able to undertake frequent European travel
