Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to join our legal team. The successful candidate will assist with the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of real estate contracts, leases, and transactional documents. They will conduct title searches, property due diligence, and research relevant laws and regulations affecting real estate transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and review of real estate contracts, leases, and transactional documents.
  • Conduct thorough title searches and property due diligence to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Support the legal team in handling land acquisitions, property development, sales, and lease agreements.
  • Prepare and submit documentation for planning applications, property registrations, and other regulatory filings.
  • Coordinate with external parties, including surveyors, property managers, brokers, and local authorities, to ensure smooth transaction processes.
  • Handle landlord-tenant matters, disputes, and negotiations, ensuring compliance with relevant legal frameworks.
  • Manage the corporate real estate portfolio, including renewals, terminations, and variations of leases.
  • Liaise with clients, developers, and other internal departments to ensure all real estate-related legal requirements are met.
  • Stay up to date with changes in real estate law and industry best practices to provide proactive legal support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of paralegal experience, ideally in real estate law or within an in-house legal team.
  • Strong understanding of property law, land acquisitions, leases, and contracts.
  • Ability to conduct thorough legal research, including title searches and due diligence.
  • Proven experience drafting and reviewing real estate-related contracts, lease agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills with the ability to identify key legal issues and ensure document accuracy.
  • Proficiency in legal software, case management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with legal teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
