Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our in-house legal team. The successful candidate will assist with the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of real estate contracts, leases, and transactional documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough legal research, including title searches and due diligence
  • Draft and review real estate-related contracts, lease agreements, and other legal documents
  • Support the legal team in handling land acquisitions, property development, sales, and lease agreements
  • Prepare and submit documentation for planning applications, property registrations, and other regulatory filings
  • Coordinate with external parties, including surveyors, property managers, brokers, and local authorities, to ensure smooth transaction processes
  • Handle landlord-tenant matters, disputes, and negotiations, ensuring compliance with relevant legal frameworks
  • Manage the corporate real estate portfolio, including renewals, terminations, and variations of leases
  • Liaise with clients, developers, and other internal departments to ensure all real estate-related legal requirements are met
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of paralegal experience, ideally in real estate law or within an in-house legal team
  • Strong understanding of property law, land acquisitions, leases, and contracts
  • Ability to conduct thorough legal research, including title searches and due diligence
  • Proven experience drafting and reviewing real estate-related contracts, lease agreements, and other legal documents
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills with the ability to identify key legal issues and ensure document accuracy
  • Proficiency in legal software, case management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with legal teams, clients, and other stakeholders
