**HR Officer** **CareTech Community Care Services**

**Location - Midlands, hybrid working but will include national travel to meet the needs of the business**

**Salary -** £28,840 per annum

**Hours -** 37.5 per week, Monday - Friday

As HR Officer, you will report to the HR Business Partner and work closely with the HR Assistant and key stakeholders across our Specialist Services and Coveberry Divisions. You will provide pragmatic, impartial and consistent HR advice in line with policies,procedures and legal requirements. You will have a solid understanding of UK Employment Law and the ACAS Code of Practice.

You will support the HR Business Partner with a variety of projects such as staff surveys, payroll migration and TUPE.

Key locations include Hampshire, Birmingham, Kent, Plymouth, West and East Midlands, Wisbech and Scotland. Therefore, travel is required but remote working is also supported.

**Key Responsibilities of the role**:

- Building trusted relationships with stakeholders and managers in the business
- Providing Managers in your respective region with advice and guidance on a wide variety of employee relations issues on a daily basis;
- Effective and proactive management of ER cases including disciplinary, grievances, investigations, appeals, and capability processes;
- Supporting ER activity including restructuring, engagement and policy development;
- Advise and note take in ER meetings;
- Delivering coaching and learning sessions for Managers;
- Maintain and provide statistical and management information;
- To keep abreast of developments in employment legislation and case law and ensure that managers are appropriately briefed on relevant changes and new legislation;
- Ensure that relevant codes of practice and policies are adhered to and that procedures relating to safeguarding matters are followed.

**Experience and skills required**:

- Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
- 1 year’s previous experience in a HR Officer role or equivalent
- Experience within the care sector - preferred
- Knowledge of employment law and best practice
- Strong decision-making skills
- CIPD Level 3 or above - preferred
- Experience with working alongside trade unions
