We have a really exciting opportunity for an HR Consultant to join the Nectar HR team, working on a flexible basis between home and our offices in Wolverhampton.
As a HR Consultant in the Nectar HR team, you will be passionate about delivering an excellent level of customer service to our valued clients.
You will have the knowledge and confidence to respond appropriately to any type of employment situation and provide guidance to clients based on assessed risk levels.
And you will care about our clients’ employees as if they were your own - you’ll know their names, you’ll know whose family member is unwell, who is up for a promotion, and who’s thinking about leaving.

This role is full time working 37.5 hours a week with approximately 3 days a week in our Wolverhampton Office
If you are successful, your key responsibilities will be to:
- Provide pragmatic and legally complaint HR and employment law advice and support.
- Draft Contracts of Employment and HR Policies for each individual client
- Deliver consultancy projects and training solutions on-site with clients and prospects throughout the UK.
- Undertake contract, policy and process, and handbook review activities for clients.
- Contribute to sales and marketing activity by drafting blogs and case studies, etc.
- Monitor developments in employment law and HR best practice.
- Review and update core policy and contractual documentation for the client base on an annual and ad-hoc basis as and when there are changes to established HR practice and employment law.
- Update and maintain accurate records on Teams.
- Make regular contact with clients from a client care perspective.
- Maintain excellent client relations with our wide client base
You may be required to perform any other duties as the organisation may reasonably require.

To be successful in this role, it is essential that you meet the following requirements:
- A relevant educational background and/or professional qualification, e.g., a degree in HR or similar, or an equivalent qualification.
- Level 5 to Level 7 CIPD
- Up to date HR best practice and employment legislation knowledge.
- Demonstrable experience in a HR generalist role, providing practical HR advice.
- Strong communication skills - verbal and written.
- A confident presenter, able to deliver training and talk in front of large audiences.
- Excellent, eagle-eyed, attention to detail.
- Able to articulately and confidently break down and relay complex information, in understandable terms.
- Excellent time management.
- Ability to engage and develop relationships remotely and to pitch delivery to all levels of organisational hierarchy in a broad variety of sectors.
- Ability to forensically analyse and interrogate appropriate details of an HR and/or employment law to determine the root cause of concern, identify risks and issues, and provide the appropriate advice.
- Proven ability to ‘think outside the box’ and not just rely on a script to provide the solution.
- Ability to influence key decision makers.
- Proven experience of using MS Office packages, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Availability to work on a more ad hoc basis, i.e., working a couple of hours per day across 4/5 days in the week.
- Flexibility to work remotely and come into the Wolverhampton office on a regular basis.
- You will need to have the right to work in the UK as we are unable to support applicants who require sponsorship.
