The Treehouse is a small and friendly Pre-school in Thame offering children a safe, caring and nurturing environment in which they can play, learn and grow as individuals. Our team of staff have a wealth of experience in caring for children and meeting their needs, whilst encouraging play, fun and independence.

We are seeking a passionate childcare practitioner who has great sense of humour, can work as part of a team and most importantly loves children

**Duties**:

- Having a key group of children, observing and recording their development.
- Plan and carry out age-appropriate activities.
- Maintain and safe and welcoming environment.
- Adhering to the nursery policies and procedures always.
- Building positive and successful relationships with children, parents and staff within the settings.

**Salary**:
Dependant on qualification and experience.

**Working hours**:
Weekdays between 8.30 - 3.15 term time

Even though we are term time, we try our best to offer flexibility so no special moments are missed.

In addition to being term time only, we also try our best to accommodate time out to attend important life events as we recognise the value of a balanced family life.

**Essential Requirements**

**Desirable**

Most importantly we need someone who;
- Has a warm smiling face that makes every child feel special.
- Is able to laugh at jokes they don't understand, or don't find funny
- If a child requests that they be a captain of a pirate ship, they will be the best pirate captain they can be
- Feels comfortable telling everybody in the same room as them that they are going to the toilet
- Must be able to distribute warm hugs, as and when required.
- Must possess the skills required to rapidly count the heads of numerous moving small people. This is of the utmost importance.
- Must have a high level of comfort talking about bodily functions.
- Must have the ability to pretend to eat playdough creations realistically. This is an essential requirement along with drinking numerous cups of pretend tea.
- Must have the ability to read a ten-page story, upside down, with at least 4 interruptions per page.
- Must be prepared to have lots of fun in the workplace. Laughter is something you can expect to engage in for a large part of your working day.
- Loves being outside come rain or shine. At Treehouse we love the great outdoors.
- Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special and important to many young children and their families. There is simply no other job quite like it.
