**Job Title**: Finance Assistant

**Reports To**: Finance Manager

**Introduction**

WoolOvers Group is a selection of Ecommerce/ Mail Order businesses based in Burgess Hill (1 hour from London/ 20 minutes from Brighton).

We are seeking a Finance Assistant for a permanent role in the finance department, to support growth within the team as a result of recent business growth through organic & acquisition led initiatives.

**Job Overview**

The key responsibilities within this role include overseeing the purchasing process for one or more group companies, including invoice approvals; uploading invoices to the system; and making payments, and communicating with suppliers, including managing the account's inbox.

Other key elements of the role include processing refunds and performing reconciliations of cash receipts across various streams.

This individual is also expected to action ad hoc requests from both within the finance team, and throughout other business departments where required, and demonstrate flexibility within their role.

**Responsibilities & Duties**
- Managing the Purchase Order system for one or more companies in the group, ensuring all spend throughout the company has been appropriately authorised.
- Printing, posting and filing supplier invoices, ensuring they are coded accurately on Netsuite.
- Managing the finance side of the refunds process for one or more companies in the group for various payment types.
- Input all received cheques onto the WoolyTrack system.
- Complete weekly payment runs for one or more companies in the group, managing the process throughout, sending remittances when required.

**Applicant profile**

The person we are seeking must enjoy working in a team and have a “can-do” attitude. Due to the lean structure of the company, the role may be required to take on other ad hoc tasks, meaning there will be a wide range of development opportunities.

The key requirements for this opportunity are:

- Strong Microsoft Office skills, in particular Excel
- Experience of working with people from diverse backgrounds
- Critical thinking and good analytical skills
- An ability to work under pressure and too tight deadlines whilst maintaining a good team spirit
