Job Introduction
**Network Management - Technical Specialist Control Room Supervisor**

**Salary - £33,945 - £38,223 (Grade 6)**

**Hours - 37**

**Contract type - full time**

Managing a small team to provide supervision of the systems, technical design and development for the effective and efficient operation and maintenance of the Control Room including TMS, CCTV. MYCITY and Car Park control and access systems. To ensure such systems are operated in compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements including the Traffic Management Act 2004 and the Data Protection Act 1998. To work with minimum supervision but under the general direction of the Professional Lead.

To work an average of 37 hrs a week between 06:00 - 20:00hrs Mon-Fri and 09:00-18:30hrs Saturday across 5 out of 7day period for which an appropriate allowance will be paid.

To participate in an out of hours service between 20:00-06:00hrs Mon-Fri, Sat before 09:00hrs and after 18:30hrs and Sundays, as required with remuneration in accordance with the council’s Single Status agreement.

Qualifications-HNC/HND in an appropriate technical discipline - highways, transportation or electrical / ICT or significant demonstrable experience in the area. Or 3 - 5 years’ experience in a traffic management, transportation or highways environment or Car parks and Experience of managing or supervising teams.

All council roles are allocated to either a fixed, field or flexible work style. Some roles are agile which enable and empowers employees to maximise their performance and productivity, whilst maintaining a healthy work life balance. Roles with a fixed workstyle work in a fixed permanent council location. Roles with a field workstyle are usually allocation where employees are required to be out working in the community with a minimum requirement for 'touch down' space at any council location.
