**Job summary**:
This is an exciting time to join the Department for International Trade (DIT). The work we do has a real impact on jobs and growth across the United Kingdom. Our mission is to help businesses export, drive inward and outward investment, negotiate market access and trade deals, and to advocate free trade. We are an international department based in 108 countries, and we work closely with our colleagues worldwide. Working in DIT you will have the opportunity to shape the UK’s international trade agenda for years to come.

Our team is part of the Global Trade & Delivery Directorate in DIT, responsible for influencing global rules and managing the UK's relationship with the WTO and other multilateral fora, using the UK’s independent voice to advocate for and reform the rules based international system. To do that effectively, we need clearly articulated strategic priorities, policy positions and the capability to deliver Visits and Events that support UK objectives.

This is a high-profile position working within a Visits and Events team that is responsible for the delivery of Ministerial and senior official engagements at the WTO, G7, G20 and other multilateral fora. The role will also support the project management and delivery of stakeholder events to further our multilateral trade policy and strategy development.

The role will lead the planning and delivery of discrete elements to support Ministerial and Senior visits and events. You will support with forward planning and work to ensure Minister and senior visits/events in your portfolio are tailored to requirements, alongside meeting our WTO/M strategic objectives.

You will work across teams to develop strategic objectives and lead the corresponding programme delivery - this will include coordination of visit/event preparation and delivery, programme fine detail, coordination of the briefing pack, and effectively marshalling inputs and senior clearances to ensure timely delivery.

You will support the project management and delivery of set-piece stakeholder events such as conferences with key stakeholders from business, academia and other international governments. This will involve leading logístical planning, overseeing budget/finances and coordinating the overall programme of activity and event support.

You will also support wider team delivery, including planning and governance across the WTO and Multilateral Trade Policy team.

**Job description**:

- Lead the planning and delivery of specific WTO/Multilateral Visit and Events to drive forward UK objectives.
- Own and manage the relationship with specific Ministerial and senior official offices to help deliver high quality, impactful engagements tailored to requirements.
- Work closely with WTO/M strategy leads (across WTO, G7, G20 and other fora) to agree objectives and lead the development of a corresponding visit/event programme.
- Lead coordination of visit preparation and delivery, including visit support, travel/logistics/accommodation, programme fine detail, programme briefing pack, effectively marshalling inputs and senior clearances to ensure timely delivery.
- Lead coordination and preparation of set-piece stakeholder events, including concept design, venue selection, participation identification, travel/logistics, budget/finance, issuing of invites through to event fine detail and on the day support.
- Support with wider delivery tasks, including WTO/M team planning and governance processes.
- Lead and support projects across the WTO and Multilateral Trade Policy team as needed, including through corporate objectives.

**Hybrid working**

Please be aware that this role can only be worked from within the UK and not overseas.

Informal hybrid working arrangements will be available as agreed with the vacancy manager and in line with the requirements of the role.

Most DIT employees will be working a hybrid pattern, spending 2-3 days a week (pro rata) in an office, on average. If your office location is London, you will be eligible to receive London weighting.
