**Job summary**:

- This is an exciting opportunity to join the Europe and Multilateral Engagement team within the Home Office’s International Strategy, Engagement and Devolution Directorate. The Europe and Multilateral Engagement team has responsibility for representing the department on the international stage.**Job description**:
Our work is high-profile and can vary significantly day-to-day dependent upon international events and current affairs.

**Responsibilities**
- Support the EU engagement leads in developing and managing a suite of products to track Home Office engagement with the EU, and the progression of policy areas in the EU - you will be expected to build close relationships across the department and with UKDel to facilitate this;
- Supporting the EU engagement lead in delivering EU capability training activity;
- Act as a support to the Council of Europe lead in the Home Office, supervising Home Office Council of Europe activity and key achievements, identifying engagement opportunities, supporting supervising implementation of the strategy, writing briefings, stakeholder management with UKDEL and providing a secretariat to monthly UKDel HO policy leads meeting;
- Support the International Campaigns Fund and act as Secretariat to the ICF Board. As the Secretariat, the post holder will prepare papers, disseminate to members, coordinate Board meetings, set agenda, write, and share minutes. Other key responsibility includes actively coordinating regular catch ups with policy and stakeholder management to track how campaigns are progressing, monitoring, and tracking engagement progress and producing tracking tools for key engagement dates, outcomes and budget spend;
- Financial management of the fund ensuring spending is tracked and money is released using the Home Office system. Raising purchase order for suppliers, in accordance with Home Office commercial guidelines;
- Contributing on behalf of the team to unit, Directorate, Group and Department-wide communications activity about the work of the team.
- Supporting wider Global Multilateral Engagement by managing and updating commissions sent across Home Office teams in relation to: liaison and correspondence from UN agencies; including instructions documents when negotiating resolutions; coordinating input for briefing packs.
- Provide secretariat support to the UNODC Governance Board including attending meetings, circulating notes and creating information products (eg PowerPoint presentations and reports)
- Supporting large UN set piece events (e.g. CND, UNTOC) including creating / updating relevant documents and action trackers, attending meetings and providing readouts to key stakeholders.

**Essential criteria**
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a range of tasks concurrently;

- Excellent verbal and written communication, skills with an understanding of how to tailor messaging to different audiences.

- Ability to understand and synthesise complex information, identifying links and prioritising work.
