**About the role**:
As the Reward Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of Northerns mission to drive transformative change to our reward structure. Your contribution will be instrumental in elevating our operational efficiency while advancing our reward strategy and enriching our employee value proposition.

Working closely with the Reward Manager, you’ll be play pivotal part in reshaping and transforming our reward brand. Your involvement will span across the entire transformation process - from initial stages of information gathering to the meticulous crafting of proposals, culminating in the seamless execution of these forward-thinking initiatives.

Your responsibility will extend to the refining of our current pay framework; crafting a meticulously documented job structure, that ensures fairness, consistency and equity across the organisation. You will foster an environment where every team member is valued and rewarded equitably for their contribution.

As the Reward Specialist your data-driven approach will be key in facilitating proposals that align with Northerns strategic goals. You’ll contribute to creating communication materials, training documents and surveys to reinforce our reward brands integration within the organisation.

**Key responsibilities**:
Within the world of a Reward Specialist, your role is as intricate as it is engaging. Here’s some insight into the assortment of activities that could fill your daily schedule:

- Assist in the delivery of reward projects that improve operational efficiency and align with the wider reward strategy.
- Use your data preparation, analysis and reporting skills to support research, proposals and projections related to reward initiatives.
- Support the end-to-end review of the pay framework project. This will involve reviewing all job roles across the organisation to ensure consistency and equity.
- Support the review of our Job Descriptions to create a simplified and efficient process for internal stakeholders.
- Help in the formation of internal and external comms; ensuring employee benefits are understood, easily accessible and valued.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of presentations on reward-related topics to stakeholders and leadership.
- Develop process/project documents/templates to drive the efficiency and effectiveness of reward initiatives.
- Support the development of external benchmarking and trend data in order to propose and create new ways of working.
- Support in the advancement of new/improved process maps and internal training materials.
- Contribute to the development of communication materials, training documents, and surveys to promote the organisation's reward brand.

As a highly driven individual, you’ll have an ability to utilise your analytical skills and inquisitive nature to analyse and interpret information, in order to create detailed yet simplistic communications with the wider business. You’ll have a collaborative approach, attention to detail and strategic mindset, that allows you to foster a proactive attitude towards a workplace that values and rewards excellence.

We’re also looking for the following:

- Intermediate/Advanced Excel Skills; proficient in Microsoft office suite
- Experience in Reward and Benefits; principally job evaluations, grading and benchmarking (Hays/Korn Ferry would be advantageous)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to draft communications and other documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to explain complex data in in simple terms to a wide audience.
- Degree or equivalent experience
