**Our Context**

Our Recruitment Support Service, part of our Resourcing Solutions team, is the engine behind our Recruitment Service and behind our Council.

The Council delivers vital services to the residents of North Yorkshire, our staff make great things happen every day.

Our job in Resourcing Solutions is to attract great people to join us and in doing so making sure that we engage well with our prospective employees, celebrate their interest in joining us and supporting them through a convenient and swift recruitment process.

Many of our staff deliver vital support to people who are vulnerable; in addition to recruiting well and recruiting swiftly we also need to recruit safely; this involves working within legal frameworks and verifying background checks.

**The core daily tasks in Recruitment Support Services include;**
- Publishing adverts
- Supporting managers shortlist and arrange interviews
- Issuing conditional offers
- Sending, securing and verifying employment clearances
- Issuing contracts and setting up new starter records
- Providing recruitment advice, guidance and coaching

All of these tasks are achieved using our recruitment applicant tracking software.

To enable recruitment to happen quickly and robustly, we provide recruitment advice and guidance to hiring managers, applicants and wider colleagues, including coaching people to help them be self-sufficient.

We are a large complex organisation, with multiple terms and conditions as well as a variety of pay and allowances and employment policies.

**The Job**

This is a new and a pivotal role in our Resourcing Support Service, created as part of our transformation and improvement plans.

**As a senior member of the Recruitment Support Service you will;**
- Provide advice, support and training to Recruitment Co-ordinators
- Handle complex recruitment enquiries
- Take a lead on operating our clearance function
- Coordinate work allocation
- Monitor service performance against Service Level Agreements and legal frameworks
- Provide reports and data analysis
- Deliver recruitment projects

**We are a high volume, fast paced service, to give you a flavour of this we;**
- Publish all adverts the same day
- Shortlist within 48 hours
- Interview within 7 days
- Offer within 24 hours

Our service delivery to the residents of North Yorkshire relies on us achieving this.

The volume, pace and complexity provides a vigorous place to work, we have the wonderful task of helping people start new careers, and there is a constant level of pressure.

We work on a hybrid basis; office and home working with the need to attend the office (Northallerton) at least two days per week. We work wherever it is most appropriate to deliver our services and to build strong relationships.
