An exciting opportunity has arisen within our award-winning Procurement and Contract Management service for a Category Procurement Support Officer.

The Procurement and Contract Management Service (PCMS) are responsible for ensuring that all procurement and contract management activities provide the very best value for money for the council. We provide professional advice, guidance and insight regarding markets, suppliers, and contractual options to help support service delivery and improvement.

The council spends approximately £650m pa across a wide portfolio of services.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our team for a Category Procurement Support Officer. You will work as part of a professional team to undertake procurement support tasks, processes and contractual activities across various spend categories.

The Council’s three Master Categories are:
**Professional Category** - covering Technology & Change, Learning & Development, Catering, Finance, Human Resources, Consultancy, Strategic Resources and Schools.

**People Category** - covering Health & Adult Social Care, Children’s & Young People’s Services, Public Health and Social Care, Culture, Arts & Leisure.

**Place Category** - covering the built environment, from works construction, repair and maintenance (for buildings to civil engineering and highways) to environmental services (waste management to weather forecasting) to highways equipment and materials to utilities (including electricity, gas and fuel oils) etc.
