**A bit about the role**

We are seeking a Head of Project Management to join our SAP Consultancy team.

Reporting into our Operations Manager, the Head of Project Management will be responsible for the successful delivery of the Absoft portfolio of projects and engagements across our varied client base. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing our team of Project Managers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

As part of your role, you will also get involved and own projects and engagements, working closely with our clients to understand their business needs and ensure project success, whilst facilitating the ongoing development of best practices in the project management team.

**What we want from you**

The Head of Project Management will possess the following professional attributes:

- Demonstrable experience in project and programme management, preferably with a focus on IT projects
- Proven experience in line management
- Experience in project planning, budgeting, and resource management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, project team members, and stakeholders
- Experience in managing cross-functional project teams, including third-party vendors and partners
- Proven experience in pre-sales activities, including proposal writing, presentations, and client meetings
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2, Agile) is a plus

**Your day-to-day**

Responsibilities will include:

- Manage a team of Project Managers and ensure that their projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery, including project governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication
- Develop project plans and coordinate project resources, including project team members, partners, and vendors
- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget
- Provide regular project status updates to clients and project stakeholders, including project progress reports, risk and issue logs, and change requests
- Lead project team meetings and facilitate project issue resolution and decision-making
- Participate in pre-sales activities, including proposal writing, presentations, and client meetings
- Manage customer escalations and ensure that they are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner
- Responsible for the ongoing development and adoption of best practices in the project management team
