**About The Role**:
We are recruiting for a Head of Human resources to join our management team based in our Head Office in Hatfield (with some travel to sites). You will be working as an integral part of the senior management team reporting to the Clinical Director.

The main focus of the role is oversight and empowerment of the various managers within the company to address employee relations matters including performance and capability issues, right to work compliance as well as ensuring that all times Nouvita Healthcare is Regulation 19 complaint. We expect that the Head of HR will support the recruitment and retention of a great workforce with around 400 people in the business including permanent, bank and contractors.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage the company’s human resources team to support the strategic goals of the business.
- Work with the Head of Recruitment to ensure that end to end recruitment meets regulation 19 standards and monitor compliance through regular audit
- Working with managers to drive staff retention and wellbeing initiatives.
- Lead on employee relation matters and support managers to resolve conflict, manage performance and develop talent at a local level.
- Ensuring company policy and procedure around disciplinary and grievance are followed.
- Oversight of all policies affecting the business from the workforce’s point of view to ensure statutory/regulatory compliance.
- Provide reports/analysis to the board of directors on a monthly/quarterly basis and site managers on a quarterly basis
- Gather business and competition insight within the healthcare sector in general
- Training and development of junior team members and wider staff team as appropriate
- Line manage the training department with input from the Commercial and Clinical Directors
- Maintain a physical presence at sites on a monthly basis - e.g. HR clinic, in person meet with managers

**What we are looking for**:

- Experience of working in Health care setting
- Proven experience in managing a complex HR function.
- Must have leadership skills.
- In-depth knowledge of HR law and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills
- CIPD Level 5 or above
- Excellent people skills.
- You have to be able to work under pressure.
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Good IT skills.
