We are looking for an ambitious, patient centered GP administrator (previous experience is advantageous) to join our 25,000 patient practice in Kingston upon Thames.

Our admin team’s efficiency, attention to detail and patient centered approach are one of the reasons our practice receives such outstanding feedback from our patients. The role is vital to the smooth running of the surgery and we would like an individual to join our team who is also driven to provide a high quality service to our patients.

General practice is often fast paced so we would be looking for an individual who was able to work under pressure, independently and as part of a team. You would be joining a friendly and supportive team who work together to problem solve and support each other’s development at the practice.

**About the practice**

Kingston Health Centre is a forward thinking training practice of 25,000 patients and growing. We currently have a team of 19 doctors and a multidisciplinary team of nurses, healthcare assistants, pharmacists and other specialists. The practice is supported and managed by an experienced team of managers, admin staff and friendly reception staff.

We are not far from the main train station and are close to bus stops that serve South West London.

**The role**

Main duties;
- Provide administrative support for performance statistics and reports required by the senior leadership team at the practice
- Manage outbound calls to patients as part of any recall process, ensuring they are booked in to see the appropriate clinician
- Support the takes provided in the clinical system specific to patients as directed by the clinical team
- To participate in coding patients records in line with coding protocols
- To help assist our reception team & clinical team with any patient queries they may have
- To participate in team and wider projects

**Person Specification**
- Previous administrative/clerical experience ideal within a healthcare setting
- Experience with Emis (desirable)
- Experience of dealing with members of the public either face to face or over the phone and providing a high quality service
- Excellent organisation skills
- Able to effectively manage and prioritise own workload
- Can work both within a team and independently
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Makes effective and considered decisions but understands when to seek advice and guidance
