We are looking for a recent Law Graduate (must have graduated in the last 3 years) to join our Compliance team on a one year FTC basis. The role holder will work closely with the wider business so a friendly and approachable disposition is a must

**PURPOSE SUMMARY**:
The Compliance Graduate assists and provides administrative support to the Compliance Manager in performing his duties relating to Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering and Data Protection for the three legal entities within the Market.

**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
Provide assistance to the Compliance Manager on the following:

- Track the evolution of rules and regulations and assess any potential impact on activities, processes and procedures and update the periodic regulatory newsletter;
- Perform second level controls according to the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan, follow up on action plans and maintain adequate records;
- Identify and rectify compliance breaches, giving advice to the Management of any changes that need to be made and to follow up on the execution of action plans;
- Perform Anti-Money Laundering controls, activities, projects and definition of training for all staff;
- Support the Data Protection Officer and Deputy Data Protection Officer in all data protection related activities, including controls, definition / review of policies and procedures and definition of training for all staff;
- Update Compliance Policies and Procedures in line with the HQ ones and UK rules and regulations and draft new Policies where required;
- Advise the business on any procedural / process changes from a regulatory perspective;
- Oversee the training on compliance matters, maintain adequate records and to produce periodic reporting for the Management;
- Draft the quarterly / ad hoc compliance reporting to HQ;
- Prepare the quarterly presentations for the Internal Control Committee and other meetings, where required;
- Such other duties as the Management may from time to time reasonably require.

Reports to: Risk, Permanent Control & Compliance Manager

**KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Degree or equivalent experience in Business Studies / Business Administration / Economics / Management / Law desirable;
- Knowledge of the regulatory regime and the requirements and guidance issued by the regulatory bodies is desirable;
- Ability to translate said knowledge into suggestions and recommendations to all business areas to adapt and comply with such changes;
- Ability to seek (or encourage others to seek) opportunities for different and innovative approaches to addressing organisational problems and opportunities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Practical and collaborative approach;
- Excellent Analytical and IT Skills (e.g. Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.);
- Effective self-management and time management skills including the ability to quickly adapt to change
