**Materials Controller - Lincoln - £32k**
Benjamin Edwards are recruiting for Materials Controller to join this globally successful organisation’s Supply Chain Team. The Materials Controller will oversee the planning and control of the company’s inventory and will report into the Supply Chain Manager.The Materials Controller will be responsible for the planning and procurement of material from various suppliers, and the management and control of material inventory on site to meet business objectives. The role will also be responsible for maintaining sourcedata within the ERP system, and ensuring supplies and materials are purchased to the latest specifications.

**The role of the Materials Controller**
- Maintaining optimum inventory levels to ensure manufacturing requirements and on-time delivery to the customer
- Identify opportunities for inventory reduction without impacting on-time delivery
- Work closely with manufacturing manager to ensure access to material
- Ensure all materials procured are to the highest quality standards and latest version
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships
- Ensure materials are purchased in a timely manner through the ERP system
- Ensure all relevant master data within the ERP system is correct
- Seek and develop opportunities with new suppliers to achieve best possible quality, reliability, prices, and delivery
- Manage and seek to improve supplier on-time delivery
- Raising non-stock purchase orders for project/development material
- Understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems
- Understanding of manufacturing environment
- Previous experience working within a procurement role is advantageous
- Experience of SAP advantageous but not necessary
