Join Morson Talent in this exciting opportunity to work with a leading railway infrastructure company. As a Materials Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability of materials at the production facility to meet the requirements of the maintenance operation.
Key Responsibilities:- Procurement: Provide proactive procurement support to the designated fleet for engineered parts, facilities, all goods, and services in accordance with company procedures.
- Materials: Ensure materials of the required standards are available at the production facility to meet the requirements of the maintenance operation.
- Warranty: Liaise with the Materials Control Manager to resolve warranty failed product issues for the designated fleet and negotiate claim settlements in cohesion with counterparts on other contracts.
- Suppliers: Take a proactive role in addressing quality concerns and repair work with suppliers to ensure preventive measures are pursued.
- Continuous Improvement/Quality: Actively participate in the 3is improvement programme and drive implementation of improvements from the team.
- 3 years experience in Rail materials, stores or engineering position (MRP).
- Detailed knowledge of materials and stores management procedures and warranty process.
- Good knowledge of IT systems and software.
