**Job Title**:Faster Payment Recoveries Advisor| S1 | Payments Centre of Excellence | Dual Location (Bootle)

The Faster Payment Recoveries team operate both the industry Credit Payment Recovery (CPR) process, and Specialist Investigation recoveries for Santander.

The Faster Payment Recovery Advisor role is responsible for managing CPR cases (both as a receiving bank and sending bank) in line with industry, regulatory and contractual SLAs, performing controls and account clearance activity, handling queries associated to the CPR process and providing support to offshore teams.

The role covers a wide range of inter-linked, critical, processes and is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop and expand their knowledge in all aspects of this fundamental payment scheme.

**The difference you’ll make.**
- Working proactively to liaise with customers, other Faster Payment Participants, internal stakeholders and 3rd parties to resolve customer enquiries/complaint and repatriate funds where applicable.
- Delivering business priorities within challenging deadlines, managing stock and providing updates as required to Senior Management
- Supporting other internal teams to resolve complex enquiries by acting as an SME on both scheme rules and Santander systems, including playing a key role in reviewing and developing current processes.
- Supporting operations and accounting control through work streams to ensure all funds owed to the bank are either fully recovered or written off.
- Implementing changes to processes in line with changes at scheme - often at short notice
- Liaising with stakeholders, both internal and external, in order to remediate incidents and complaints that impact Santander customers

**What you’ll bring.**
- The ability to gain a sound understanding of Scheme Rules and CPR Procedures - interpreting complex information and translating the impact of the rules into end-to-end processes
- Able to proactively manage own workload across a variety of systems and input channels and work cross functionally to achieve team SLAs
- Competent at questioning data and processes beyond following simple instructions Competent at utilising, interrogating and challenging a variety of key systems, including the ability to identify trends within data to detect potential issues or changes in behaviour
- Confident communicator - able to engage stakeholders and communicate complex information in a professional manner which is easily understandable
- Proactive at keeping up to date with changing technology and scheme rules - refreshing skills accordingly
- Team work, ‘Can Do’, flexible approach to ensure the needs of the business are met

**It would also be nice for you to have.**
- Knowledge of Faster Payment scheme rules and Credit Payment Recovery procedures
- Incident Management experience

**What else you need to know.**

Hybrid working arrangement. Monday-Friday based at home, with expectation to attend office infrequently

Team’s attendance is between 07:00-19:00
