Position Details:
Kobre & Kim LLP is seeking an experienced and motivated individual for the role of Conflicts Specialist in the Legal Department, assisting the firm globally in researching and assessing conflicts of interest and other risk factors in support of pursuing new business opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:

- As a member of the Legal Department, Conflicts Specialists work alongside the firm’s general counsel and attorneys to facilitate the resolution of conflicts of interests for all business initiatives;
- Perform in-depth research into complex litigation cases using multiple resources to identify potential areas of risk for the firm (Intapp Conflicts database, S&P Global corporate database, and Dow Jones Risk & Compliance global watchlist);
- Conduct factual analysis of conflicts results and deep dives into case-related information to determine relatedness of matters; all in an effort to create high-value reports for attorneys to review;
- Coordinate with case teams in analyzing new business intake requests for completeness and work with requestor to facilitate any amendments in order to ensure the most accurate conflicts footprint is observed;
- Work alongside Senior Manager of Conflicts and Associate General Counsel in the creation and maintenance of ethical screens (using Intapp Wallbuilder);
- Work in concert with Legal Department Analysts to ensure all department objectives are being met;
- Assist in performing ad-hoc checks and exploratory conflicts searches as directed by senior members of the Legal Department.

**Requirements**:

- 2-3 years of prior experience performing conflicts research in a legal risk or compliance environment;
- Strong working knowledge of performing conflicts searches in the Intapp Open platform;
- Strict attention to detail with strong analytical skills and know when to dive deep;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Experience with legal research and other resources to pull & interpret company information;
- Tech-savvy, ability and desire to learn new technologies and systems integration;
- A customer service mindset focusing on providing recommendations and/or solutions to complex challenges in order to support the execution of firm objectives; and
- Team player who communicates confidently while adopting a consistently professional attitude.

New York City only: At the time of posting, the salary range for this role is $68,000 (minimum) - $103,000 (maximum). This range is based on a full-time work schedule. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus.
