Salary

This role offers a competitive salary of £53,000 per annum, plus benefits such as a civil service pension scheme, 25 days annual leave, and 9 public holidays.

Job Description

As a Global Conflict Specialist, you will play a key role in our efforts to prevent and resolve conflicts around the world. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining situational awareness through regular analysis and assessment of conflict dynamics, needs, and corresponding responses.
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues, senior officials, and external partners to influence policy and programme priorities.
  • Developing and implementing effective conflict policies and strategies to achieve our organisational goals.
  • Providing technical oversight and guidance on conflict projects and programmes.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, and private sector entities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A strong background in conflict analysis, prevention, and resolution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks accordingly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
