**Peer & Engagement Practitioner**

**Edmonton, Greater London**

37.5 hours per week (2 year Fixed Term Contract with the possibility of extension) Purpose of the Role The purpose of the role is to provide peer led psycho-social support to clients, working within specialist NHS Mental Health teams and the VCS delivery partners.

The role will carry an active caseload, working with Clients to determine their recovery needs, identifying additional resources available within the community and providing expert advice and support.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide support and assistance to individuals with various needs
- Mentor and guide individuals in achieving their goals and aspirations
- Educate and empower individuals to develop necessary life skills
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Collaborate with a team to create and implement individualized support plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working with individuals in need of support
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
