An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Matron role for our Endoscopy services Trust wide at ULHT. We have 4 units Trust Wide (Lincoln County Hospital, Pilgrim Hospital, Grantham Hospital and Louth Hospital).

The successful applicant will be a key part of the Endoscopy leadership team and will be fully supported by the Sisters for each unit and the Endoscopy and Diagnostics leadership teams.

Applications are invited from individuals who can
- Provide strong, visible, clinical leadership, whilst inspiring and empowering nurses and other clinical staff in pursuit of a shared vision
- Ensure the effective and safe delivery of services within their area of responsibility
- Be accountable for the efficient and effective operational management of the nursing workforce
- Be a strong clinical leader, easily identifiable, highly visible and accessible to patients, carers and staff
- Work closely with the leadership team to ensure collaborative working and achievement of Trust objectives, particularly safe patient care
- Ensure compliance with JAG accreditation standards and be a key part of the re-accreditation process
- Provide support and development opportunities for the Endoscopy nursing team

To provide seamless leadership ensuring an effective and efficient structure to manage the units is in place to oversee delivery, improvement and assurance
To provide strong, visible, clinical leadership, energising, inspiring and empowering nurses and other clinical staff in pursuit of a shared vision to ensure the effective and safe delivery of services within their area of responsibility.
To work closely with other Matrons to ensure collaborative working and achievement of Trust objectives, particularly safe patient care.
To use evidence based and reflective practice, influence nursing practice across sphere of responsibility.
To maintain professional competence, authority and credibility
To work with each unit to agree a plan in order to meet all standards outlined within JAG accreditation.
Take a lead role within the area of responsibility for promoting patient safety, ensuring that key patient safety risks are identified, recorded on the risk register, and actions are taken to minimise risk
To investigate untoward incidents and take action where required.
Ensure that systems and processes are in place to maintain the health and safety of the patients, visitors and staff.

To be jointly responsibile with the clinical lead and managerial lead for the service ensuring budgets are managed effectively across the area of responsibility.
