Account Management Executive

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Provide general support to the key Account Manager across key accounts and deputise where required
- Maintain Sales force on behalf of the Account Team including attending sector calls. and updating and reviewing the Key Account Plans.
- Working closely with Operational Leads to develop a strong pipeline of opportunities within Salesforce & Quip.
- Achieve all agreed annual revenue, organic sales and profit targets.
- Support and sometimes lead appropriate business cadence to include regular, formal reviews and reports.
- Liaising with customers to ensure all contractual and commercial requirements are met and defined performance standards and customer satisfaction is maintained to the highest level.
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, client stakeholders and executive sponsors.
- Develop ‘internal’ network (across Sectors and central functions), to leverage multifaceted solutions. Key collaboration with Business Development teams - supporting new business sales activity.
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of compelling value propositions and solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
- Organise, attend and exploit hospitality and entertaining opportunities.
- Support with the negotiation of contract terms through to final sign off.
- Support the creation of Board approval papers for the Head of Account Liaison with key members of the People Team for technical advice and people solution design.
- Working with the bid support and sales team to ensure bids, tenders and renewals are maximised, on time and compliant.
- Monitor all up and coming contract renewals, preparing for continuation and/or expansion of offering.
- Build a trusted relationship with the customer to ensure our updated tenders provide Wincanton the greatest chance of success.

**Experience, skills and attributes**
- Proven work experience as an Account Manager or relevant role
- Experience delivering client focussed solutions to customer needs
- Proven ability to work multiple account management projects at a time whilst maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Logistics / market industry experience
- Good commercial awareness and a commitment to providing customers with the highest standards of service
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the client’s organisation including executives and c-level
- Innovative views
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
