This is an exciting opportunity to join the Procurement team within Electrical Production Purchasing at Jaguar Land Rover, where you’ll join a fast-moving team responsible for bringing JLR vehicles into a digital world of Connected Cars, Electrification and more.

Reporting to the Electrical Purchasing Manager you will have Global responsibility for specific commodities within Electrical Purchasing on behalf of JLR. You will utilise your experience to analyse, define, and implement market and sourcing strategies for your designated commodities. Both Global Strategy and Sourcing activity will be supported by the Regional Delivery teams for your commodities, utilising regional market intelligence and expertise.

You will lead the development of the supplier and internal stakeholder relationships to ensure strategic and programme alignment. You will manage suppliers and internal stakeholders for your designated commodities ensuring that the Global Commodity Strategy and Supply Base Market strategy is effectively deployed throughout all of JLR and the external supply chain.

You will support and work closely with the Regional Delivery teams and engage with specialists within the Purchasing Function to ensure optimum value creation and delivery for Jaguar Land Rover as well as leading stakeholder relationships and ensuring JLR is appropriately represented both internally and externally.

This is a pivotal role for interface with other key functions within Jaguar Land Rover and acts as a core conduit for true cross functional working across Production Purchasing, STA, Product Engineering, Cost Engineering and Design.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Strategy & Sourcing:

- Responsible for Strategic Commodity Dossier (SCD) and Commodity Business Plan (CBP) generation and delivery, ensuring relevant data is updated, understood and maintained in order to make strategic recommendations

Supplier Relationship Management:

- Participate in Supplier Business Reviews to develop supplier relationships in accordance with the supplier segmentation model
- Ensure supplier briefing templates are kept up-to-date to enable senior stakeholder briefings

Other:

- Act as central co-ordination to ensure appropriate information exchange from and to all regional buyers
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

Essential:
