As the Senior Strategic to the Strategy Procurement Manager, you will have Global responsibility for JLRs long-term strategy for sheet aluminium and steel commodities. You will utilise your experience to analyse, understand and predict the economic and political outlook for these globally traded and volatile commodities, which are fundamental to JLRs current production and future decarbonisation targets.

**WHAT TO EXPECT**

**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**
- You will be responsible for the creation of long-term strategic plans and contract agreements for the Aluminium / steel commodities.
- You will be accountable for the Strategic Commodity Dossier, ensuring relevant data is captured in order to make strategic recommendations.
- You will obtain, understand and track the economic drivers for cost and volatility in global commodity markets.
- You will develop expertise in pricing structures for commodities through understanding of this macro-economic and political influences on a global scale.
- You will support the development of the global supplier footprint for sheet metals and its processing, working with some of the Global market leaders and constantly investigating opportunities with new emergent's globally.
- You will drive Business Reviews ensuring the Global Commodity Strategy is effectively deployed throughout all of JLR and the external supply chain.
- You will develop a wide range of internal stakeholder relationships to ensure strategic alignment, often at Manager / Senior Manager level.
- You will be required to establish external relationships with analysts/market specialist as well as support key conferences and events in the commodity market, ensuring JLR is appropriately represented externally

**Essential**:

- Degree qualified or equivalent experience
- An individual with very strong analytical skills, able to help the company problem solve by breaking down information, looking through data and finding patterns, trends and outliers
- An excellent communicator who can communicate complex ideas to key stakeholders to influence cross functional alignment.
- An individual with strong presentation skills, able to present and articulate complex issues in a clear and simplistic visual form
- An individual who is able to challenge existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style
- An individual who is results driven, has tenacity, drive and perseverance, leading the team to deliver strategic plans in a complex, highly demanding environment.
- An individual who is resilient, energetic and enthusiastic, able to deliver results under pressure, whilst responding constructively to challenging new ideas and inputs
