If so, we have a great opportunity available in Chesterfield in North Derbyshire to volunteer in our Recovery Through Nature (RTN) programme.

Our Recovery through Nature programme is a highly effective therapeutic programme that engages teams of people who use our services in a range of practical conservation and horticultural projects to aid their recovery. Recovery through Nature’s strength lies in its capacity to enhance participants' belief in their ability to change, supporting their self-esteem, confidence and mental well-being.

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who can offer a supportive approach to recovery for people with long-term addiction problems and can passionately promote the benefits of engaging with this programme and understands the value of a therapeutic community environment. This volunteer post will involve supporting the RTN lead to develop the project further and contribute to the 12 month development plan. You will lead on project planning of the site and support those service users accessing the project to get the best possible outcomes. Applicants will be able to demonstrate good engagement skills, positive attitude and can-do approach and to be able to communicate well and can work as part of a team.

Volunteering days/times can be discussed at interview and are available 9am-5pm within our Monday-Friday service hours.
