This is known as an At Risk Mental State (ARMS). This is a specific pathway within Early intervention services.

Come and join the Derbyshire At Risk Mental State Service based in Derby

This is a new service based on NICE recommended interventions and include interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Lead professional Input, Family Interventions, Individual Placement Support and many more.

If successful, you will be able to use your skills, knowledge, and experience to join our team and work with people and their families who are experiencing symptoms linked to having an At Risk Mental State.

The team Derbyshire Early Intervention Service work with people aged 14-64 years old. The team have a ‘family first’ and biopsychosocial approach to providing care to an individual whilst in our service. We support people into education, training, volunteering, and employment, accessing social groups/activities and support their physical health outcomes too in order to provide holistic care to the person receiving the service.

We are looking for experience and commitment, together with a desire to make our service the best we can, through innovation and collaboration with our key stakeholders. The post holder will:

- Be clinically responsible for supporting the delivery of a flexible, responsive service in line with the At Risk Mental State procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, key partners and those within the local community to develop services to meet the mental health needs of the community, based on the local and national practice guidance
- Demonstrate expertise in risk assessment and management working in a community setting
- Have good communication and organisational skills and operate as a well-integrated member of the multi-disciplinary team, maintaining a person-centred focus
- Have demonstrable Mental Health Practitioner post registration experience
- Be a role model, offering mentoring and supervision to other staff and students.
- Have the ability to transport yourself across a wide geographical area.

**The post holder will**:

- Contribute to the development of early intervention services and be required to report clinical information for collation by the team manager and clinical lead for inclusion into National Clinical Audit of Psychosis (NCAP).
- Present a professional image of mental health work and promote a positive image for the trust to service users, carers and the community as a whole.
- Carry continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of recovery based care programmes and the setting of standards of care to young people and their families experiencing the an at risk mental state that may lead to transition to fist episode of psychosis.

This is a community-based post. The post holder will need to hold a valid, UK driving licence and/or be able to travel across area of work in a timely, efficient manner to meet the demands of the service.
