**The Package**
- Temporary contract until March 2025
- Working 35 hours per week
- Based in Colwyn Bay
- Salary of £23,911 per annum

**The Role Housing Support Officer**

You will support women prison leavers (in a supported accommodation setting and the community with their housing needs and life skills in a person-centred, trauma informed way. This will involve:

- Supporting women prison leavers with mental health and wellbeing, by encouraging healthy activities and lifestyles, and signposting to services
- Assist the manager to achieve agreed KPIs and SP Outcomes/PMRs
- Manage referrals to the scheme, contacting and interviewing applicants/agencies
- Conduct all move in and pre tenancy paperwork
- Facilitate and attend meetings with voluntary and statutory agencies
- Provide a range of engagement and involvement activities to promote social inclusion amongst service users
- Playing a hands-on role in responding to incidents appropriately, contacting and liaising with NWH staff, emergency services, voluntary and statutory agencies,
- Maintaining accurate service user records and files

Youll be working 35 hours per week on a 2-week rota. Shifts are as follows:

- ** Week 1** 9:00am 5:00pm (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday)
- **Week 2** 8:00am 5pm (Monday), 12pm 8pm (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), and 9am 5pm (Friday)

**Our Requirements Housing Support Officer**
- Either have the ability to hold at least basic conversations in Welsh (although you may struggle to keep up fully) or be currently learning / willing to learn Welsh to the required level
- Experience working in a client centred environment such as housing, care or similar (e.g., supporting individuals in reporting maintenance issues, making healthcare appointments, pursuing hobbies, securing training and employment, etc.)
- Experience of supporting people to create support plans and make benefit claims
- Demonstrable experience of working in a housing management or community-based support environment for individuals
- Experience of responding to incidents within a housing or similar environment
- Knowledge of the support needs of vulnerable people
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Hard working, with a positive can do attitude
- At least have basic IT skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
