**Permanent position**
Sellick Partnership are supporting a housing association with the recruitment of a Senior Operations Manager to be responsible for ensuring all legislative and regulatory compliance responsibilities are met in Gas, Electrical, Asbestos, Legionella and Lifts,along with providing strategic and operational leadership and management of all areas of compliance.
**Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Senior Operation Manager**
- To provide strong and visible leadership to the Property Services department to ensure the culture and values of the client are met.
- To be accountable for the effective operational delivery of the Compliance teams including involvement in budget setting, responsibility for financial monitoring, and ultimately for delivering programmes which are completed on time within budget, and tothe required performance standards
- To provide advice reports and recommendations to the Senior Management Team regarding the management of risks associated with the maintaining the existing stock, in line with current legislation and regulation.
- To be responsible for ensuring that compliance management is integral to the safe delivery of all programmes of work delivered by the in-house team and external Partners/Contractors. Working closely with, and supporting, the Regeneration Team in deliveryof capital programmes and new build developments.
- To ensure all data relating to compliance is collected and maintained in line with legislative requirements and the clients policies and procedures.
- To assist the Head of Property Services in providing an economical and quality focused service by measuring value, procuring and managing contractual arrangements where necessary, and measuring/managing the effectiveness of the in-house delivery team.
- Contribute to the budget setting and monitoring processes for the Property Services Compliance teams, ensuring financial targets are met and budget monitoring is effective.
- To conduct performance management and reporting on all areas of responsibility ensuring performance indicators are met.
- Audit and report upon compliance with these procedures, revising procedures as necessary. Ensure that statutory requirements governing all of the clients properties are met, as well as conditions set by insurance bodies and regulatory bodies.
- Ensuring that robust procedures are in place for the management of Health & Safety risk arising from the clients property asset base.
**Qualifications required**
- Relevant Gas or Electric qualification, along with evidence of continuing professional development
- Relevant Degree, equivalent industry recognised qualification such as MCIOB or equivalent extensive experience.
