**Operations Manager**
**Chesterfield**
**Salary to £65,000 plus excellent benefits**

Our client who are one of the largest suppliers in their sector, are looking to recruit an Operations Manager to over see all day to day operations for the Chesterfield site.

The role will look to deliver excellence in operations across the operational teams, whilst maintaining a culture of customer service, operational efficiency, safety and continuous improvement. To provide inspiring leadership and development of a high performingoperations team.

**Job Description**:
To deliver excellence in efficiency, safety and compliance and to manage all assets, people and processes on site.
- Leadership and engagement of the team including direct management and development of supervisory colleagues.
- Effectively managing the site in accordance with business needs
- Managing safety & maintaining a positive safety culture.
- Adhering with transport compliance, including vehicle maintenance, drivers’ hours and Tachograph regulations in addition to Working Time Directive.
- Managing compliance of company processes and procedures relating to sales, stocks, financial controls.
- Complying to all Operating Procedures and Works Instructions
- Maintenance of safety critical equipment.
- Ensure targets are met in line with business requirements.
- Managing operating costs and capital spend within budgeted levels.
- Managing site stocks in line with customer demands.
- Maintaining control of business assets.
- Professional approach to colleague management to drive effective working
- Delivering great customer service and instilling a customer service ethic within your team.

To drive key efficiencies across the business and team.

Essential skills:

- Demonstrate a real commitment to Health & Safety
- Knowledge of working to Health & Safety and employment law good practice
- Proven experience of effective process management and financial controls
- Computer literate, including competence in Outlook, Word & Excel
- Able to schedule multiple tasks effectively
- Able to demonstrate effective communication with customers and colleagues at all levels
- Have a strong background in effective management of people and problems
- Professional, conducting themselves with integrity and honesty at all times
