**Independent Reviewing Officer & CP Officer - Merseyside**

**£45 per hour umbrella**

Do you possess strong analytical skills and the ability to make impartial decisions in complex situations? 3D Recruit is seeking a dedicated and experienced Independent Reviewing Officer & Child Protection Officer to join a dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. It is a locum role where you will be on an initial 3-month contract with the potential to be extended

**As an Independent Reviewing Officer & Child Protection Officer you will have the following responsibilities**:

- **Independent Reviewing**: Conduct thorough and impartial reviews of children and young people's care plans, ensuring that their needs and wishes are central to decision-making. You will assess the effectiveness of care plans, identify any gaps or concerns, and make recommendations to improve outcomes for children.
- **Chairing Child Protection Conferences**: Facilitate child protection conferences, bringing together relevant professionals and family members to assess the risks faced by children and develop robust protection plans. You will lead discussions, ensure all voices are heard, and make informed decisions to safeguard children from harm.
- **Quality Assurance**: Monitor the quality and effectiveness of child protection processes and procedures within the organization. This will involve conducting case audits, providing feedback to social work teams, and identifying areas for improvement to enhance safeguarding practice.
- **Partnership Working**: Collaborate with a range of stakeholders, including social workers, health professionals, educators, and external agencies, to promote integrated working and ensure a coordinated response to safeguarding concerns. You will build positive relationships with partner organizations and contribute to multi-agency safeguarding initiatives.
- **Training and Development**: Provide training and support to social work teams and other professionals involved in child protection, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to effectively safeguard children and young people. You will deliver training sessions, facilitate reflective practice, and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement

**Requirements**:

- 4 years of qualified Social Work experience
- 1 year experience as an Independent Reviewing Officer
- 5 years of satisfactory references
- Driving License with access to a vehicle
- SWE Registered
