Job Description: Independent Reviewing Officer Role

Sefton Council is seeking a skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Independent Reviewing Officer. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the best outcomes for children.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time position that requires at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a statutory child care setting. You must hold a professional recognized social work qualification and have excellent communication skills. Previous management or supervisory experience is not essential but may be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chair formal meetings and provide expert guidance on Child Protection and Children In Care.
  • Work closely with social workers to develop and implement effective plans for children.
  • Contribute to quality assurance responsibilities and provide training and developmental initiatives.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of £42,000 - £47,000 per annum, depending on experience. Other benefits include 28 days annual leave rising to 33 days with 5 years of continual service, enhanced sick pay scheme, maternity/adoption leave pay, and opportunities for agile/flexible working.
