The Glasgow Marriott is looking for a passionate Housekeeping Supervisor / Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor with a keen eye for detail to join our wonderful team.

Undergoing exciting refurbishment in 2024, the Glasgow Marriott Hotel offers welcoming comfort with a modern style, ideally situated in the city centre near premier attractions like OVO Hydro, Hampden Park, and the University of Glasgow.

**The impact you’ll make.**

Join our team as a detail-oriented and collaborative Housekeeping Supervisor. Your role will involve inspecting guest rooms and public areas, ensuring cleanliness meets our high standards. You'll run sold room reports, verify room status, prioritize cleaning, and update departing guest room statuses. Act as a liaison, coordinating efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry. Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms, communicate changes in assignment sheets, and assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and motivating employees. Strong communication skills, paperwork accuracy, and the ability to work with various departments are vital. Join us in maintaining exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

**What you’ll do.**
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, etc. after being cleaned by Housekeeper to ensure quality standards.
- Run sold room reports, verify room status, determine discrepant rooms, prioritize room cleaning, and update status of departing guest rooms.
- Assist Housekeeping management in managing daily activities.
- Act as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
- Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms with the Front Desk.
- Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments.
- Communicate issues to next shift.
- Complete required paperwork.
- Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.

You will be a team player and a fast learner, adaptable and has exceptional attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills.

Prior to employment, we’ll ask you to complete safety training and certification.
