This role will be working as a key member of the accounts team, to ensure accurate management across all supplier ledgers, including invoice matching and processing, payments, and management of supplier accounts. This is a busy, fast-paced and integral role that supports the whole business. Along with other accounts administration tasks including bank reconciliations, journals, CIS and Tax returns.

The individual will ensure supplier invoices and payments are processed with accuracy and in a timely manner. They will be required to work independently, managing their day-to-day responsibilities and priorities. They will take ownership and maintain accurate supplier accounts, ensuring account issues are resolved to minimise impact with operations.

**Key Deliverables**
- Processing purchase invoices in the accounting system (Sage)
- Ensuring matching, batching and coding of a high volume of purchase orders and invoices.
- Pro-actively resolving invoice variances with suppliers and operations.
- Reconcile supplier statements in a timely manner.
- Perform regular housekeeping checks and ensure ledgers are tidy.
- Create and maintain supplier account data.
- Dealing with and resolving supplier queries.
- Dealing with and resolving site queries and requests.
- Dealing with auditor requests.
- Working to meet deadlines in accordance with month-end closedown timetable.
- Raising ad hoc individual payment requests when necessary.
- Other duties as and when requested by your Line Manager.

**Essential skills required**:

- An aptitude for IT - knowledge of software packages like Excel and Sage.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics is a minimum requirement.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £21,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
