We are very proud of our Apprentice success rates, with 92% of Apprentices successfully obtaining a substantive post within the Trust at the end of their Apprenticeship contract, and 98% of Apprentices having further plans in place following their Apprenticeship e.g. going on to further education, joining the NNUH staff bank or obtaining employment at another organisation.
**Apprenticeship Eligibility Criteria**:
**All applicants must be**:
- Aged 16+
- Resident in the UK/EEA for the last three consecutive years
- Must not be in any form of formal government-funded education upon the start of their apprenticeship
**Qualifications and Skills Required**:
- Good general standard of education
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good IT skills
**Full time**: 37.5 hours per week

Who we’re looking for?
We are looking for a caring and motivated Apprentice Administrator to be a member of a truly collaborative and hardworking team to provide administrative support to our busy department. Key roles will include but not limited to; typing letters to patients/GP’s using Dictate IT (SWIFT) and the Electronic Document Template (EDT), assist in maintaining patient investigation databases, checking patient discharge letters electronically, answering telephones and dealing with queries efficiently, assisting clinicians with ad-hoc queries, booking of outpatient clinic appointments and assisting in the day-to-day running of the department reception and/or secretaries office.

- To type patient letters using standard templates relating to appropriate department in accurate and timely manner
- To record patient demographics and referrals on the hospital information system (PAS) and departments computer system
- Assist the Administration and Clerical team with data management utilising PAS and other departmental patient databases.
- To request and return medical notes

- To order stationary/equipment for the department
- To prepare patient information packs and resources for ward staff
