_**Experienced Head Housekeeper for high profile couple with a home in Chelmsford Essex. **_

We are looking to hire a housekeeper for our CEO's home in Chelmsford Essex. You will be **Responsible for establishing and maintaining a small team of housekeepers, ensuring that the day to day supervision of the Housekeeping team runs smoothly and that there is also adequate cover**.

To maintain appropriate personal hygiene stocks, cleaning products, tools and equipment for your team.

This is a hands on roll, not only supervisory. You will be expected to work with the team to make sure that cleaning of rooms and common areas, disposing of trash, changing beds, etc are taken care of every day, and notifying the home owner or other house staff, of any issues. You should be able to lift at least 25 pounds and above all, have an eye for cleanliness.
**General Purpose**

To maintain a clean, sanitary, comfortable and tidy environment for the household. To ensure safety for visitors when they arrive and leave.

**Housekeeper Responsibilities**:

- Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained on an ongoing basis through the day. This is a busy household and any one room may need cleaning more than once a day.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors throughout the day as and when required.
- Clean and stock restrooms and bathrooms throughout the day.
- Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
- Notify managers of necessary repairs.
- Collect and dispose of trash.
- Assist house guests and visitors when necessary.
- Keep linen room stocked.
- Properly clean upholstered furniture.

**Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities**
- sweep, scrub, mop and polish floors
- vacuum clean carpets, rugs and draperies
- shampoo carpets, rugs and upholstery
- dust and polish furniture and fittings
- clean metal fixtures and fittings
- empty and clean trash containers
- dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
- clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers
- wipe down glass surfaces
- make up beds and change linens as required
- tidy up rooms and all draws in the house
- wash windows as scheduled
- sort, wash, load and unload laundry
- iron and press clothing and linen
- sort, fold and put away clean laundry
- operate mechanised cleaning equipment
- maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
- monitor and report necessary domestic repairs and replacements
- monitor guest laundry bags
- replace laundry bags and slips
- check all appliances in rooms are in working order
- realign furniture and amenities according to principles prescribed layout
- ensure confidentiality and security of property
- follow all current safety and security procedures (training will be given on the first day)

**Head Housekeeper Requirements**:
**A more detailed list of expectations will be provided at interview. However, the main part of this role is for the head housekeeper to take on the responsibility of the house cleanliness and to ensure that we have enough staff on duty to cope with the demanding role for a very very busy household. You must be able to work with our HR team to find, interview, and supervise potential staff and then to offer support and training to them once they start. It would help if you had -**

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
